Get Stuff Done – Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 29, 2026
This policy describes how the Get Stuff Done Android app (“the app”, package
com.brasshammer.getstuffdone) handles your information.
In short: everything you enter stays on your phone. The app has no accounts,
no analytics, no ads and no tracking, and it does not send your information to us or to
anyone else.
Information the app stores
To work, the app stores the following only on your device:
- The tasks you create (their names, how often they repeat and the time of day).
- Which tasks you checked off on which days, and the medals, streaks and achievements
worked out from that.
- Your settings, such as medal levels and reminder times.
We (the developer) never receive this information and have no way to see it.
Information we collect
None. The app does not collect personal information, device identifiers, location,
contacts, usage statistics or crash reports, and it contains no third-party analytics,
advertising or tracking code.
Permissions
- Notifications: to show the reminders you switch on. You can turn
reminders off in the app’s Settings, or block notifications in Android’s settings.
- Run at startup: so your reminders are scheduled again after the phone
restarts. It does not share any information.
Backups
- Android backup. If you have turned on backup for your Google account,
Android may include the app’s data in your device backup, so it can be restored on a new
phone. That backup is handled by Google under
Google’s Privacy Policy; we cannot access it.
You control it in your phone’s settings.
- Export. The app can save your data to a file when you choose
Settings → Backup → Export. The file goes wherever you pick, such as your
Downloads folder or a cloud drive, and is only shared if you share it.
Home screen widget
If you add the widget, it shows today’s tasks and medal on your home screen. Anyone who
can see your screen can see it; remove the widget if you prefer.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android’s settings, deletes all of its
data from your phone. Delete any exported backup files yourself, and manage your Android
backup in your Google account settings.
Children
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever starts handling information differently, this page will be updated
before that version is released, and the effective date above will change.
